Ultrasun Sun Stick SPF50

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s hard to believe, as I sit here shivering in front of my laptop, that we have had such glorious, warm weather of late. I’ve just come back from a break in Prague where it was very hot other than the last day (which was good because we were there to support our friends’ son in the Marathon) and we were not prepared for the bone chill when we got back. While I was there, I diligently carried the Ultrasun Sun Stick in my bag and was extremely grateful to have it with me.

Because (I find), men don’t take the same skin responsibility when it comes to sun protection, I made Tim and Paul put it on the backs of their necks several times. For some reason, they didn’t object and I think it’s because it’s a stick. It’s not a runny lotion that feels like a ‘beauty cream’ – the Sun Stick is utilitarian enough that it was applied without question. I mean, it’s not my responsibility to parent them obviously, but I couldn’t just sit there and watch them go red.

I loved the Ultrasun Sun Stick for the backs of my hands – I’ve only just started taking SPF for hands seriously (or maybe I should say forgetting to use it less) and of course, it’s way too late, but at least I can hopefully halt the emerging dark spots in their tracks. The formula is clear and feels reassuringly ‘coating’ as well as skin softening. I wouldn’t use it every day on my face because there are more skin care forward products out there but when needs must, I absolutely would swipe it over cheek bones and my nose – big, so attracts the sun first! In comparison to the e.l.f. stick, which I like for my chest and hands, the Ultrasun Sun Stick has a bit more heft in formula and is so portable you can keep it in your pocket. It’s indicated for sensitive skin so most people should be able to tolerate it and it’s currently on offer for £10.50 instead of £14 HERE.
