Twelve Beauty Tint & Glow Review

[unpaid/sample] If you’re new to Twelve Beauty, as I am, I have a treat in store for you. My make-up artist friend, Kenneth Soh, gave me the tip off about this natural brand, created by pharmacist and cosmetologist Pedro Catala. He was raving about the bronzer (coming up next week) and the Tint & Glows and because I love a sheer wash of colour for cheeks, I couldn’t wait to try them.

Of course, I fell for Tangerine Crave straight away although if you prefer neutral looks or have a very light skin tone, Bare Canvas is for you. The colours are whispers meaning that you can have the sheerest possible translucent tint on bare skin or build up to something more. They can be worn on cheeks and lips and the best thing? They contain my favourite ingredients – squalane, meadowfoam seed oil and hyaluronic acid. That amounts to my dream INCI.

Above, you can see Tangerine Crave and Bare Canvas. I can wear either (coming up) but have to admit to a preference for Tangerine Crave that gives a pop of colour. Because of the nature of the texture, which is dewy and juicy, at first feel the tints feel more like lip balms. Once on the cheeks however, the glow melts into the skin leaving just a trace of colour. No wonder Kenneth loves it – as a make up artist, he is working with skin in such minute detail, teasing out as much glow and perfection as he can on any given human canvas so I can see how the seamlessness of Twelve Beauty Tint & Glow gives him so much nuance to work with.

Here’s how Tangerine Crave and Bare Canvas look before they’re blended into the complexion.

This is Tangerine Crave on my skin – you can see a light bounce on my cheeks as well as a subtle colour boost. On my lips, it gives the same ‘my lips but better’ aspect – not too bright but definitely waking up my whole face with the hue. I used my finger tips to apply three dots which I then blended with a brush – but you could just go for fingertips which will work just as well.

And this is Bare Canvas. I’m not into really pale lip colours but I could so easily wear this shade. Twelve Beauty also has a skin care range – in fact, it’s a skin care brand with a make up arm really – and I have the lip oil to try for next week when I show you the bronzer. The Twelve Beauty Tint & Glows are just a joy – if you like a lower key summer look and your existing make up looks way too much for summer skin, they’re the answer. At £26.45 per pot – which I think will last you all summer long and beyond – I think they’re a great warm weather wear. Find them HERE.
